What is technical surveillance?
Technical surveillance involves the lawful use of equipment and techniques to observe, record, and gather evidence during investigations.
What is a hidden camera sweep?
A hidden camera sweep (TSCM survey) is a structured inspection designed to detect covert surveillance devices in a location.
Are Bluetooth trackers a risk?
Yes. Bluetooth trackers can be misused to monitor individuals without their knowledge. However, in many cases, detection can be achieved using standard mobile devices and appropriate apps.
Do I need expensive detection equipment?
Not always. Some commercially available equipment duplicates functionality already available via smartphones. We provide honest advice to prevent unnecessary expenditure.
Is covert surveillance legal in the UK?
Yes, but it must be conducted in accordance with legislation such as RIPA and IPA, and appropriate authorisation is required.
